| Abstract: | The rotational velocity of galaxies, characterized by the velocity at the maximum of the rotation curve, is correlated with the type in the sense that the velocity increases from the irregular side of the type sequence to the early types. The correlation can be explained by interpreting the Hubble-sequence at constant mass as an angular momentum sequence |
