Abstract: | For an application to commensurability cases the planar, elliptic restricted three-body problem is simplified by an averaging process. This makes it possible to approximate the long-period effects caused by Jupiter in Hilda-type orbits. Some of the effects are characteristic for a case of commensurability, while others are related to effects given by the theory of secular perturbations for the general case of minor planet motion. Thre are no indications for a disintegration of the Hilda group. |
