Abstract: | Using the invariable plane as a reference plane, one finds that (1173) Anchises and (1871) Astyanax have mean nodal rates which are near Jupiter's mean nodal rate. In other words: Both asteroids are not far from a secular resonance. In the model Sun-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus-Neptune, we investigate the motion of the two asteroids and study variations of the actual orbits which are closer to the resonance. |
