Abstract: The secular behavior of resonant orbits is described on the basis of Greenberg's and Schubart's theories. We review the results of numerical investigations obtained by Froeschle and Scholl and the results obtained recently by Wisdom, who found a mapping for resonant motion. In addition we review the possibilities for mass determinations of planets and of minor planets using resonant motion.
