| Abstract: | A short survey on the construction of the Fifth Fundamental Catalogue (FK5) is given, presenting the most important results obtained during the revision of the FK4, its predecessor. Finally, we discuss the consequences for the computation of the "Apparent Places of Fundamental Stars (APFS)". |
