Title: The Effect of Tidal Braking Between Galaxies on the Formation and Evolution of Clusters of Galaxies

Abstract: The formation and development of clusters of galaxies in Euclidean expanding universes are investigated by N-body simulations. The dynamics of the galaxies is described by a continuously acting term of interaction representing the gravitational attraction, the tidal braking, and the increase of the galactic radii while conserving energy and angular momentum of the whole system. Models with purely elastic interactions and constant galactic radii serve as a reference.
